Once alteration has been approved and agreement signed owners/ managers give permission for residents to make the following alteration to their dwelling.
Residents acknowledge that they are responsible for payment of all costs incurred for alterations, including materials, labor and permits if required.
Residents agree that all work be done in professional manner and with approved materials. If work is not done in a professional manner or approved materials, owner/ manager reserves the right to have work corrected or returned to original condition at residents' expense.
Residents agree to hire workers, if any who are licensed contractors who have appropriate insurance, including worker's compensation and that the resident (and not the owners nor managers), will be solely responsible for payment or any liability regarding the alteration.
If an alteration is removed when residents vacate, they acknowledge that they are responsible for restoring the altered area to its original condition.
Residents agree to put up a deposit to insure that they: 1) do all work in a professional manner with approved materials and also acceptable to all housing codes or community standards, 2) make full payment to all those hired to perform work, and 3) will restore their dwelling to its original condition when they vacate, if applicable.
If an alteration is to be left when residents vacate, they agree that it will become the owner's property and that they (the residents) will not be reimbursed for it unless otherwise agreed.
